Purin William, PhD Candidate

Purin Williams, MBA, PhD(c)
Co-Chair, Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) – OUHSC

Purin Williams is an innovative leader, researcher, and advocate dedicated to strengthening family voice in prevention and public health systems. As Co-Chair of the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC), she brings a track record of more than 15 years driving systemic change through research, evaluation, and community partnerships. In this role, Purin bridges the voices of parents with academic, healthcare, and policy leaders, ensuring that lived experience guides decision-making and shapes outcomes for children and families.

Her leadership is defined by a commitment to fairness, collaboration, and resilience. She has designed and facilitated statewide engagement efforts—including bilingual parent data walks, advisory board training, and collaborative planning sessions—that translate evidence into action and elevate parent perspectives in the Coordinated State Evaluation (CSE). Through these efforts, PAC has become a trusted model for participatory leadership where families move beyond an advisory role to become active co-designers of strategies that impact prevention and health equity.

Purin’s work reflects her broader vision: creating systems where community voice, research, and practice come together to build resilient families and stronger communities.
