Welcome to OU Parent Partnership
Who We Are
The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) is a group of dedicated parents, caregivers, and community members working together to advocate for the well-being of children and families. Through collaboration with local organizations, schools, and healthcare providers, we strengthen family support systems to help children thrive in safe, supportive environments.
Why We Do What We Do
Oklahoma faces a critical challenge with child maltreatment. In State Fiscal Year 2022, 13,921 cases of child abuse and neglect were reported, with 86% involving neglect (Oklahoma Department of Human Services). These alarming statistics highlight an urgent need for action.
At the heart of our mission are parents and caregivers whose unique perspectives shape practical, community-driven solutions. By working alongside professionals, we ensure every child has the opportunity to grow up in a safe, nurturing environment.
Together, we can create a brighter future for children and families through education, community events, and resources that empower parents and build a stronger network of advocates.
